Hi, I don't see why that wouldn't be possible. It would depend on just how far down from the tips of the bow the nocks are as to whether you'd have to shorten it. Probably the easiest way would be to use a belt sander to taper the tips down to fit the horn (the diameter of the drilled out part of the horn is normally around 1/2" but that depends on draw weight) but you could do it with a rasp or file.

The only worry would be that if the bow was needed to be shortened it could become too short and break because of the extra stress put on the wood, it may also increase the draw weight a bit. You'd have to shorten it by quite a bit for this to happen though, and you probably wouldn't need to shorten it much at all.
