String advice

I'm currently shooting a generic fast flight string, and have done since i first got my own bow, but i'm wondering whether there's anything "better" (i use the word carefully) that anyone might particularly recommend looking into? I'm currently looking at having to do some serving maintainance on it for the nth time, but i've been wondering about getting a new string entirely.
