If you don't have anything behind the bosses to aim at then I would find something you can sit in the gap between knuckles and aim with that. Maybe a boss on the left hand side. The knuckle itself I recon would be a bit too big to get a precise aim.

isn't that fine for shooting at your club but when going elsewhere then said tree or other aiming points wouldn't be there.
just my thoughts as with my mongolian i'm trying to "visually measure" the distance from my grip for different distances if you know what i mean.
