This is all done for recurves, but this year we have a lot of longbows in the club.

Since GNAS don't publish classifications for longbow, indoor (?), does anyone have any idea how we could work out equivalent longbow scores, from our recurve levels?
Since you seem to imply it is just for recognizing progress, perhaps you could take a look at using the Portsmouth score badges that Reading Archers make and sell. The longbowers will possibly be in the lower scores, but they are banded in 25s I think all the way from about 300.

Murray has also posted ideas on making badges for progress. A quick search in the threads should pull this up.

If you still want to try and work out equivalent to the GNAS A-G classifications for longbow, you could probably do it in Excel by comparing the outdoor longbow classification with recurve to get a roungh handicap equivalent, and then doing a simlar graph for indoors and reading off the longbow class against the recurve Handicap equivalent.....easier to do than explain I think. Don't have time to do it now, but if you really want to go this route and get stuck, drop me a PM, and I will see what I can rustle up.
