myself and zoe have done one of the GNAS performance weekends

as it was our first experience of 'proper' coaching we both found it pretty useful and came away with a MUCH clearer idea of our issues and how to tackle them - even though the weekend is relatively expensive we both felt it was worth it as there was quite a lot packed into the 2 days

on the other hand - there is no structure 'above' these courses (ie - 'personal performance level 2' or whatever) for people who have done one and want some follow-up - the coaches who ran the weekend offered free follow-up coaching at their club (meriden) but finding mutually convenient times and the travel involved have so far got in the way of that

in terms of results so far - personally ive struggled with some of the things i need(ed) to change (mainly though lack of regular practice time) and scores have improved slightly but no hugely - it seems to have worked for zoe though - in the couple of months since we did the weekend she has gone from just about hitting 3rd class scores to getting her first 1st class score and she looks like she will beat me to first class over the next few weeks !

overall - if you dont have access to good and free local coaching (at club or regional level) then i dont have an issue with paying for it if youre serious about getting better - and i reckon 20 to 25 quid an hour (100 quid a day ?) would be a reasonable fee
