As a club sec (vested interest) I think this is a great idea. £600 is perhaps a little excessive but £10 per hour is reasonable, plus expenses of course.
We have had substantial discussions recently on whether coaches should be allowed to profit, but coaches arent the only ones with valuable skills that are often overlooked. Why not pay secretaries and treasurers?
Everyone always expects the earth from us, until the agm and the chairman asks for nominations!
Its not like committee members get any official recognition from the governing body. Coaches, judges and archers all have badges they can earn (county, regional, 1st class, bowman etc) but secretaries get the order of "where's my gnas card?"
New poll anyone>?
