Looking at the manual, you should be able to let the weight right off. It will certainly be difficult to get it in a bowpress!

Quote from manual:
The Guardian and Commander Center Pivot Bows do not require the use of a bow
press to replace string and cables or to adjust the bows draw weight.
To adjust draw weight, equally backoff both limb bolts counter-clockwise
(1 full turn = approximately 2–5 lbs). In order to maintain optimum efficiency,
it is recommended that you do not decrease the draw weight more than 10 Lbs.
To replace string, cables or install a peep sight, back the limb bolt out 5
turns on one end then alternate to the other end, repeating this process until
the end of the limb bolt is just visible in the limb bolt viewing hole in the
riser (Approx. 3 threads visible). String tension will be minimal allowing you
to work on the bow as needed.

If that doesn't work, back to the dealer.......
