Agree absolutely. In fact I try to have this "ticking" somewhere in my mind as it also helps to clear out the other rubbish. If I've relaxed properly then the clicker will go on "one thousand and (4=click) - almost always the cleanest releases and the best shots. It sort of goes like this

One thousand and one - set-up and raise bow arm

One thousand and two - draw to transfer/holding

One thousand and three - final aiming

One thousand (expansion) and click!

If I've filled my mind with other junk I can easily get to 8/9 seconds, tension creeps in, the release will be awful - and the arrows usually low left. Must stop doing that
