Hoyt Eclipse riser vs KAP Winstar II riser vs Sebastien Flute SF Forged riser

Hi all,

Now I know there are similar threads to this one on the forum between the Eclipse and Winstar2 and opinions differ depending on peoples preference, which I seem to be learning there is no correct answer its all down to personal preference.

I'm looking to purchase a riser in the next month or so and I have narrowed it down to three that I like with ILF in my price range the Eclipse,Winstar2 and the SF forged riser. I was wondering what are peoples experiences with these 3 risers as I have read some stories about some people having problems with the SF riser.

I found on altsports a deal for a SF riser with GSF limbs for £229.82 which is cheaper than any one else that I have seen, as I am a newbie what are GSF limbs and do I need them? I can get the SF riser for £125 and buy cheaper limbs like KAP Winstorm limbs for £64 (people have generally advised to buy the cheapest limbs) saving me about £41 to spend on other archery goodies or is it worth paying the extra amount for the GSF's?

Can some one also please tell me what is the ettiquete of trying out risers in a shop? the nearest shop to me is quicks in Hampton, but I have found there equipment very pricey compared to others but there is no where else I can get to. I dont want to go there try a selected few risers with out the intention of buying from them and wasting there time, can some one help me on this one please?

Sorry lots of questions in this hooked enthusiastic archery head of mine

cheers
