Thats sounds just like me a couple of months ago, the sport just grabed me when I did a have a go session at a company away day and I found myself looking for a local club and getting quite worred waiting for an email, luckily one club were able to accomodate me a couple of months later and I am now 3 weeks into my beginners course but the wait was painful

. After I did the have a go I just wanted to get a bow in my hand again!
Luckily the club have been really accomodating and I will most definately be joining once I have finished the beginners course, I've already started acumulating bits and bobs and should have another little parcel waiting for me at home with a quiver and a bow stringer
You have a big advantage though, a knowledgeable partner and that should stand you in really good sted in the future. Good luck with getting a response from your local club, most seem very busy at this time of year and you might want to give them a call to follow up your email
Enjoy your archery

(no pressure on me then lol). One of the first things he ever said to me was 'Do you want to come and see my bow..!' Last year we went to a fun day in Crewe and I was persuaded to 'have a go' with Greenbank Archers. I discovered I really liked it, and have had another couple of goes since at different events locally, also with Greenbank Archers.
Ive now decided that I would like to take this further which my partner is , so I dropped an email to the secretary of Greenbank Archers a couple of days ago to find out when the next beginner course is. (Ive not heard anything yet ) I cant wait to find out more, Im just like a little kid and so excited. I hope I dont have to wait too long to find out when the next beginner course is as I want to start erm ...yesterday! |
