I agree. This is one of my favourite archery myths.
I always wondered where this idea came from that the string twists when you draw it. Ive even heard it from a national coach, but it doesnt hold up in testing.
Sure, when you draw the bow, your fingers on the string may roll the serving perhaps half a turn. This would impart half a turn more on the top half of the string and unwind half a turn on the bottom half. That is a net change of 0 zero zip nothing and half a turn over half the string length just isnt a significant difference for anybody! (unless anyone can PROVE different)
