When I did my first aid for work (the full 5 day course one) we were all given a small pouch about 3" x2" x 1/2" that fitted on ones trouser belt or in a pocket. It contained a field bandage and dressing, 4 plasters (the blue ones cause I worked in a food factory), a pair of disposable gloves, one of those mouth to mouth guards, a pack of steristrips and a packet of glucose for diabetics. Everything you really need in an emergency in the tinyest package.
I carried it for 3 years (and used regularly) as a first-aider until I changed jobs. Now it sits in the bottom of my archery case, just incase.
