To put another spanner in the fan....the end servings and the centre serving can in fact contradict each other if not served correct, by that I mean they could be served opposite ways...

Absolutely, thats why I mentioned the importance of the serving polarity before starting to add any twists to the string to ensure we maintain a nice tight serving.
