They're not purple at all in my opinion, and no I'm definitely not colour blind
The colour can best be described as a glossy grey and looks very good indeed, better than a simple black finish IMHO.
Alternatively you can pay a little extra for a custom colour. Of course, limb colour and appearance doesn't make a difference to feel and performance.
