Does it matter? If so, who to? Not the likes of me (in terms of results), so to those that it can/does make a difference to - well done!
Its nice to ponder these things occasionally - but sometimes it just makes my head hurt!!! |
Sure, when you put the end serving on the part of the string that will become the "loop" you dont have any twists in the string. It is an open loop at that point. then you bring the ends of that loop together and sure the start of the loop goes the opposite way to the end of the loop, but this part of the string wont get any twists as it is held open by the limb tip. Then you serve the rest of the end serving. This is important to get the right way as if it is the wrong way, when you put twists into the string (and this part of the string does get twists) you will either be tightening or slackening the serving as the serving is anchored at both ends. It matters in terms of results when half way through your next comp, the serving falls apart.
