| Personally I don't want to shoot more than 1hr from my house or my parents house and I don't want to shoot less that 100yds in a competition. Or even really in practise. So I don't attend the short distance shoots (like windsors) I also don't believe the fuss of filling in a form, paying money etc etc is worth it for a national unless it's with any of the three clubs I'm affiliated with. Even then when I travel to Kestrels for their national tournament there's the option of a double new national!
