Thanks everone for your advice.

We went to Wales Archery on Saturday and Julie tried:-

Bowtech Guardian
Bowtech Commander
Bowtech Allegiance (2006 Model)
Hoyt 737
Hoyt Ultra Elite XT2000.

All of which were miles better than the vipertec. The Allegiance was favorite for a while and as soon as she tried the last bow (the Guardian) the decision was made.

So she is now the proud owner of a smoke grey(?) Bowtech Guardian. She thought that the vibration dampaning was more effective on the Guardian than on the Allegiance. Also , it seems(?), Bowtech no longer do the Allegiance in the 40 to 50Llb draw weights, and she really did want a brand new Bow.

I tried all the bows as well (I had to do something while waiting for her to make up her mind over which colour to have) and I think I would have chosen the Allegiance out of the list she tried.

But would I swap my Switchback XT for the Allegiance ?

One day maybe (but it would be the same day that George W Bush receives the Nobel Peace Prize).

But once again thank you everyone for your advice.

Best Regards
