Elder...... the number of twists may increase but don't worry, 20 is still a small amount to some. You can tell when it gets to the point of too many twists, this will be indicated by the loops at the top and bottom not seating correctly. If you do find it stretches enough to make the twists excessive then as said before reduce the twists to a reasonable amount and see how much the string has increased by, to give an idea of the reduction to make with the new one....
