when shooting normal paractice i dont wear one, out club shirts are logo free on the string side, i have not had the pleasure of striking my chest with the string. (mind you seeing the coldest it gets during the day is low 20deg C in winter we can wear polo shirts)
However, seeing as my work shirt has the inevitable top pockets i do wear a chest guard for when i go to the indoor for practice to prevent catching.
