A lot of good advice there, but just to focus on the torque issue:

It is entirely possible that the grip on the new bow doesn't quite fit your hand, and allows torque.

It is also possible that something in how the riser is set up (limb alignment, pressure button, spine match, brace height, whatever) is not helping.

Or, you might be going through a rough patch of form and are simply blaming the grip because it doesn't feel quite right. (My advice in that situation would be to get one that you have faith in, it really helps with confidence).
