This may be incorrect: As the chart shows, for a stronger bow (so stiffer shaft) you need smaller number on the shaft. So smaller number = stiffer shaft. But a stiffer shaft needs more weight to deflect the same way.
Yep, it's a bit weird. That is apparently the way Cartel work out the spine of their arrows. However, the number marked on the side of the arrow is not the spine rating as worked out using either their method or Easton's. Confusing isn't it?
