As I said, I find the bowstring patterns very interesting, especially in that the string above the arrow gives a very differnt pattern to that below it. I feel that this should be significant in some way, but Im not honestly sure what or how

Physically by a gust of wind, however several archers were timed out as they were having to wait between gusts to get their arrows off. One particular lady (who was timed off at least once) shot nearly every last arrow with a second or two to spare.
I'm sure someone must have noticed this bow string shape before, One of the Physics or maths bods on the forum can probably explain it.
Thanks for the comments on the photo's I'm pleased they are of interest. Hopefully someone can explain what is going on. I just though they made a cool shape

The forum is full of tame physicists, maths geeks and engineers so I am sure someone has an explanation.
