I was not sure how big it was but it is still a lot less than a whole arrow, our metal detector at the club is fairly basic and would have a problem with a tip on its own if it was buried more than a few inches. I still have an alloy arrow out there somewhere but it is our own field so its sort of OK still bugs me I lost it had an left eye dominance moment but shot anyway
