There is a world of difference between water resistant and water proof.
I use a swarovski HD80 ( I used it for birding before returning to archery) . It has an 80mm primary optic and I use either a 20x or 20-60x zoom, also both fully waterproof. It has probably spent 2 months in solid rain over the 8 years I've had it and never a problem.
It also has a 30year guarentee.
The 65mm ATS65 starts at around £650-£700.
