I have a short face and a long beard. You need the tab as close to the jaw as possible to restrict movement. Leave the platform flush with the top of the tab and concentrate on your form. It can be done but as you become more practiced, you will increase the bow poundage, use smaller lighter fletches for distance and you will get there.
