Wink Competition for AIUK ... Not really!

On my PC the "favourites", or as the Americanised version is, "favorites", folder on my browser is by far and away the largest folder. I have "les Archers de Perol", a French club, bookmarked on which I found, accidentally, a link to the "Archery Learning Center (sic)". This is another discussion board predominantly for those of a Transatlantic persuasion. The format is similar to AIUK - I wonder if this is where the inspiration for AIUK came from? However the content is far "harder" and feels far more "competitive" with more hard sell by retailers.

I then found, yet again by accident "Archery Talk". Once again this website has the same feel to it as the "Archery Learning Center". I have to say that I don't feel as comfotrtable with either of these sites, whereas the Australian bulletin board mentioned somewhere on AIUK and I think run by one of the members of AIUK feels a lot more friendly.

On the ALC board there is absolutely nothing posted concerning recurve archery, which I found rather surprising.

I wonder what others feel about these "alternative" bulletin boards?
