On my PC the "favourites", or as the Americanised version is, "favorites", folder on my browser is by far and away the largest folder. I have "les Archers de Perol", a French club, bookmarked on which I found, accidentally, a link to the "Archery Learning Center (sic)". This is another discussion board predominantly for those of a Transatlantic persuasion. The format is similar to
AIUK - I wonder if this is where the inspiration for
AIUK came from? However the content is far "harder" and feels far more "competitive" with more hard sell by retailers.
I then found, yet again by accident "Archery Talk". Once again this website has the same feel to it as the "Archery Learning Center". I have to say that I don't feel as comfotrtable with either of these sites, whereas the Australian bulletin board mentioned somewhere on
AIUK and I think run by one of the members of
AIUK feels a lot more friendly.
On the ALC board there is absolutely nothing posted concerning recurve archery, which I found rather surprising.
I wonder what others feel about these "alternative" bulletin boards?
