I do think it is easier to shoot a compound well, but badly, if you get my drift.........
Certain things that are crucial in recurve archery aren't as big a problem with a compound (even if it is shot off the fingers).
However much I take the mick out of "training wheels", I don't believe they are easier to shoot at a top level, just that it is easier to be better than a bad recurver.
ie, when comparing a bad compounder and bad recurver, the compounder would score higher.
I know this is in swings 'n' roundabouts, I just hope you can get what I roughly mean, lol.
I'm not applying this to you Jerry, its just the easiest way of explaining it!
