we had a GNAS field competition last month at Friskney, I'm not sure if we are planning anymore this year though.

| Hi Phil Im a member of Dearne. We only run 1 competition per year which is always on the Easter Weekend. If you go the www.gnasfield.co.uk there is a diary on there which lists all the GNAS Field competitions. http://www.gnasfield.co.uk/diary2007.htm#top |

| For some reason GNAS/FITA field archery is not represented in the Midlands. Meriden used to run one but the nearest now to you Phil would be the Northants shoot. Again the GNAS's own field pages will show you what's going on.

| So it's looking like if I want to do regular marked distance field rounds I'm going to have to look for my own wood ?

There's a club near Aylesbury (OK, not really midlands, but might be easy for you to get to) called Westcott Archers. They do GNAS/FITA field and target; also NFAS field. They're a very friendly bunch. Northampton do one GNAS/FITA shoot each year; the forest there is also used by NFAS or EFAA (not sure which; might even be both). On the other hand, if you do manage to find your own wood, please let us know, and we'll come and join you ![]()
