Field target questions

Hi all: Question one ,can anyone tell me the sizes of kill and wound zones on the larger paper targets please .Question two as a beginner I have been shooting freestyle with a sight can anyone share any tips for estimating hold over or under, at the moment I have zeroed the sight for 30M and just guess for any targets over or under that distance, but its not very good when the targets get out over the 40M mark I quite often miss the entire butt. Thanks if you can help
Stephen...

go to bowsports website and have a browse at there selection of paper faces, you can enlarge almost all of them and see where the lines run round the animal. kills and all.

nfas as far as i know dont use any specific paper faces, although the mapleleaf and delta faces seem to be used a lot at the champs,as most nfas open shoots tend to use 3ds some clubs like our own dont have enough 3ds at this time so i often use various paper targets to make up the total, i have used a number of different ones which most archery shops stock, martin, mapleleaf, delta, jvd and bjorn, its just a matter of seeing whats available, as most places that do sell these you can often enlarge them enough on screen to get a good look at where the kill and wound lines run.

This may be a silly question but, if you are shooting Freestyle, why don't you get a set of sightmarks for the full range of distances and eliminate the aiming off high or low?

Smile Calibrating sights for freestyle

I have a chart that can be used for sight calibration of almost any weight of bow. With two distance marks on your bow, all other distances can be accurately marked on sight bar or wherever else you want to put it, up to 80 yards, the most you'll ever need for field.Problem is, how do I get this chart to you?It is a hard copy at present, if I can find a copy of it in the magic filing system. Perhaps you could send me your address or phone no.

Yes, that's the one. I've always found it to be very accurate;unitl I recently acquired an Oneida bow. Due possibly to its unique design I found all the sightmarks to be the same distance apart.
