| Arrow Spine Arrow spine is worked out on a 28inch arrow how much does this alter if you make a longer arrow EG. I draw 30inches so make arrows 31inch long so am making wood arrows 3 inches longer I know that a longer arrow has a weaker spine and you can also change the spine by the point weight. But how much does the 3inch extra change the spine of the arrow If i want 55pound spine arrows should i use 60 pound shafts? |

| I am shooting 40/45 woodies 29" long out of my 45# Epsilon (45# on my fingers). I think 45/50 spine would be better though.. Hope this helps? My guess is with 31 inch arrows you will need to go up at least two spine ratings compared to a 28" arrow. There are others on this forum that know much more about this than me! ![]() |

| Am shooting 45#/50#s off a 45# Hunter and they're fine (well, they would be if I could get the nocking point height right!!!)

I figure you need at least a 55/60 spine woodie but it depends on how good your release etc is... |
