August 2008 Open Fleet Ibex (NFAS) - get in quick

Time to get in quick before the places fill up. Appologies for the cross post from the NFAS web board, but I know some of you will look here first and may miss your chance.

This is our Ken Dendall Memorial Trophy shoot and although it was treated as a normal open, there was always a trophy to shoot for if you were in the Gents Bowhunter Class.

This year however, we have extended this to all adult classes. Regardless of your class all adults on the day, as well as shooting for their normal medal, will also shoot for the honour of being the holder of the Ken Dendall Trophy for one year(http://www.fleetibex.com/ImagesSite/KenDenTrophy.JPG). So that everyone has an equal chance of holding the trophy the scores will be handicapped (I'll explain how this is worked out by email if anyone asks, but not here).

Because of this I am sure that the course layers will have something wicked in mind for the day, especially as we have plenty of time to prepare the course for this one. Someone has placed an order for some extra trees and we've made sure that the compound shots are being set out by our resident AFB expert and the rest of the shoot laid out by our compound expert (or should that be the other way round )

This is also the second year of Brackenhackers Junior / Under 12 Shield. Again a handicapped competition shooting for one of three shields (http://www.fleetibex.com/ImagesSite/junior.JPG), as well as the normal medals for their class. This is for the Juniors to have something to aim for by having other archers to shoot against.

Pre-Book and Pre-Pay - entry forms on our website....... A reminder to all archers to read the course / club rules on the entry form before booking.
