| Hex shafts are ok but you may find you have to buy 2 dozen to get a fairly well matched set of six, if you can buy them direct from canada they are cheaper and if you buy for a few other people as well you will get discounts for bulk orders. | |||||||||||||

| As they are laminated, they should be stiffer and much stronger than normal POC shafts. Hardy used to make their split bamboo cane fishing rods in a similar way. Tough and long lasting. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Check out www.hexshaftarrows.com - they post to the UK. I'm going to give these a try myself - some very good archers and arrowsmiths swear by them.

| hexshaftarrows Yes, I remember these guys. I went on their site recently. I had a problem with picking the arrow spine. It didn't offer 5/16-30/45 etc, just some kind of bow weight value? Also, it seemed like I had to commit the order before they told me how much postage was? | |||||||||||||

| Just out of interest, I've been wanting to try these myself. Postage works out at 60CAD for 1-4 dozen shafts ( ) Makes 'em bloody 'spensive if they're a bit suspect on the spining!

| Just got some of these in and so far not too impressed. Out of 12 I've already snapped two with my hand held taper tool and a lot of nasty cracks and creaks coming from others. I have never broken a Port Orford Cedar shaft tapering the nock or point end. Torsionally they are very soft and flexible and very easily twisted along their length so much so that I am actually a bit scared of shooting them. Just waiting for a few feathers to arrive but I will risk bareshaft testing them this weekend. I was impressed with the spine matching - six of these are 45-50lb and five showed 48 on my tester. They may however shoot amazingly well - I will let you know how I get on.
