Well, Rusty- you're close enough to Quicks to pop over and have a look at the Samicks for yourself. Either way, Quicks have a pretty good rep when it comes to warranties.

I will say one thing about MOST factory field bows- they all seem to come with rubbish strings- typically an 18 strand endless job with frayed serving. Get something decent made, or better yet, learn to do it yourself.

If you want a really good bow, though, take a look at the Chek-Mate Falcon. I have two, and my wife just got hers. You'd have to spend a lot more to get a better bow than this.

Chad at www.recurves.com sells me my Chek-Mates- you'll find more info on his website. He'll also answer any questions you might have, but bear in mind that he's away (on his honeymoon) 'till 1 or 2 August.
