Hi all
You may shoot whatever bow and use whatever arrows you like the only thing is no sights may be used.
Apparently you may have a days membership for insurance purposes or may choose to join the NFAS on site for the princely sum of £10.
At this time of year that will probably carry you through to Dec 31st 07.
The club have a couple of fibre glass training bows about 28lb draw weight.
I'd like to keep it to 4-5 newcomers per day as we have to allocate you groups that have the experience to take newcomers around .
Let me know which day you would like to come and I'll make the arrangements.

PurpleHugs
Do you have any arrows or do I have to search through my spares box for you.

Sun 7Jan 07.
Stipulations are Nfas membership £10 per year although I believe we can join you up for just a days shooting if you just want to try it out.
As its a friendly you will be able to shoot at whatever distance you feel comfortable with.
No sights are allowed on this course as the club was set up for traditional styles, apart from that you can shoot any type of bow you like.
Targets will probably be just paper animal faces as its a friendly.
If you fancy having a crack let me know and I'll make arrangements to see you have a great days shooting.
Allthe best
Paul
I wouldn't mind trying the NYE one out, I never usually do anything then!

Pity the junction on the M25 is about 3 hours away, I'd love a go!

I'm sure we might be able to find you somewhere a little bit closer where you can give it a go

Jimbo, that would be absolutely brilliant if you could offer to show the ropes to archers up your end of the country.
Spreading the word about field does us all good.
Not knocking target archery at all, each to their own and all that, but a lot of people don't know what they're missing.

Me and David are already acquainted*, I didn't want you to think I was being too saintly (although I would be more than happy to show anyone the ropes, I've only been doing field archery a couple of months and I've not shot a full course yet)

*(Well, when I say 'acquainted' we met once in the back room of a pub in Chesterfield. Well, when I say 'met' we were both there at the same time, I don't think we actually spoke )

Thumbs up big thanks

Thanks to Paul (provins) for inviting us to join him today at co 60 shoot today. It was our first field shoot and think we have well and truely caught the bug. Thanks to Sheila, Celeste and Leigh for making the day more fun and giving us hints and tips on our way round.Everything is covered in mud but still big grins on our faces.
See you all next week.

Kate and Joe
