| Who wants to try Field Archery A field club I belong to,Company of Sixty, situated at Oxshot,Surrey 5mins from J12 M25 will be having a few friendly shoots later this year. They will be on Sat 23 Sept Sun 31 Dec Sun 7Jan 07. Stipulations are Nfas membership £10 per year although I believe we can join you up for just a days shooting if you just want to try it out. As its a friendly you will be able to shoot at whatever distance you feel comfortable with. No sights are allowed on this course as the club was set up for traditional styles, apart from that you can shoot any type of bow you like. Targets will probably be just paper animal faces as its a friendly. If you fancy having a crack let me know and I'll make arrangements to see you have a great days shooting. Allthe best Paul | |||||||||||||

| Shoot dates Company of Sixty friendly shoot in January is shown as the 7th....a Sunday, that is unless it has changed and no one has been told - lol. NFAS shoot dates can usually be checked via the Calendar on their web site.... :-) Bring penty of arrows and fit them with radar to avoid the trees ;-) http://www.nfas.net/shootdates.asp The small fee for a "few days shooting" was discontinued in 2001, so to be covered by insurance you will have to join the NFAS. However as it is late in the year, if you call the membership secretary, Pam Hudson (details on NFAS website), I'm sure she will let you know what can be done.

| For Co60 Tarkwin, the only stipulation is no sights. As Provins said, they are a traditional club and their lease (the land holder is a keen traditionalist) states only shoots without sights are allowed. Other than that anything goes but for bow styles have a look at the NFAS web page for one you will be able to shoot under.... http://www.nfas.net/nfas_styles.asp Quote:
