The lads at Westcott have been working hard.

Last night we had a 'proof of concept' demonstration of the moving target for the shoot.

'Its my Party' stepped up to have the first shot at it, and hit it! which was very good shooting because we were all 'encouraging' him

The construction of the waterfall target is also going well with 'Its my Party' bring down photos of it.

If you haven't booked in yet, please goto www.westcottarchers.org.uk

Good Shooting,

Stu

Err I may add that I didnt hit it with the next few arrows though and luck may have played a huge part in the first hit! You may not be shooting at long distances but it will not be as easy as you may think. Come on all you GNAS archers come and visit us and you'll get to shoot 3D targets (possibly for the first time) while staying warm with a nice cuppa to warm the insides as well. I believe there are places available on the 13th in the early (Im shooting this one) session left and maybe a few on the midday session. Crocodiles, Spiders and flying ducks couldnt keep me away.

'Its my Party' is being too modest.

Not too many of the other arrows missed the moving target.

Hi Guys,

We still have places left on the 2pm and 7pm sessions.

Its my party brought the base for the waterfall down on Sunday and it looks absolutly amazing. We also have about 50 Christmas trees ready to transform the hall into a woodland.

See the Westcott site for booking in details!

www.westcottarchers.org.uk

Good Shooting,

Stu

I have to agree with Rachel. The event was fantastic! A big thank you to everyone who put so much effort into preparing and hosting the event. And I'm very glad the organisers/hosts also got to shoot alongside the participants - a rare treat, I'm sure.

During the break I took some photos of the setup, so if anyone would like a sticky beak, I'll put them up here. Bear in mind I've not even had a chance to look at my camera yet, so they all may be lovely and blurry.

Well done to all three of you! Jock, I believe, came third overall, not so shabby for a self-confessed target boy!

I didn't do well, Ruth, I was rubbish! But bless you for fibbing!
It didn't affect my enjoyment of the day though! And I very much enjoyed our longbow babe double act!

I've put a match report here www.mayflowerarchers.co.uk
