Hi Whiskey

I have the coaches manual laying around somewhere? Been so long since I have looked at it but will dig it out and study it like all good coaches should

Having done a number of NFAS courses we have just done a FITA course thinking it would be a comparative cruise, WRONG!
So if you are thinking of doing likewise check out the FITA rules, they are very detailed and frankly pedantic compared with NFAS.
It is difficult to lay a good course without emasculating those lovely shots you find while walking your ground so beware!!!
So Find a shot you love.
NFAS; set it and peg it but watch for a clear shot at the kill, no greenery to infringe on the archers draw and make sure the light poundage long bows have got a clear trajectory and a safe overshoot.
FITA: all the above plus, room for two archers side by side, all the target must be visable, base of target must be 150mm min from ground, target must be perfectly square to archer, target must have 50mm spare boss on either side and not so much as a blade of grass interfering with the line of sight. If you are doing a marked round as well you will need to be able to extend the range considerably without infringement or spoiling the shot.
TRICKY nez pas?
