Elmtree, Devon

Shot my first field shoot of the year at Elmtree’s Roadford Reservoir woods yesterday. Elmtree always lay on a good 3D course and this one was no exception. The weather on the day was good, but it had rained all week so it was a bit muddy and slippery in places.
After watching one of the top compound unlimited take 3 arrows, I pleased with one very lucky shot on a goose which was held in mid air by string.

Came away with a nice gold in freestyle.
2nd Alan Dennis
3rd Chris Pleasants
4th Mike Charlsworth
5th Ian Boulton
6th Ken Hall

Not bad going for *nearly* an old age pensioner! The weather was good too wasn't it? Sorry I couldn't be there but there was a family fest at lunchtime following the demise of Peter. We will meet one day!
Well done Shel, keep it up.

Nice shooting Shel. I notice Chris Pleasants' name there - is he now shooting freestyle exclusively?

He is and doing very well. You can now cross him off your list of opponents.

That's a good shot! Nice one and well done on the overall score/result.

If you're not too busy this sunday and feel like another 3D shoot........

Obviously he heard I was taking up barebow, and switched styles from fear.

NOT.
