I went to the archery range today to get my sighters for 80 yards etc after changing the sight back to the outside of the bow.
I shot my 1st arrow into the 60 yard boss to ensure I was pulling the correct length then moved on to the 80 yard mark. I missed the boss a couple of times shooting wide and low but got there in the end after altering my sight (obviously!!).
I walked up to collect my arrows but low and behold 1 had totally disappeared!!! I searched and searched but to no avail, I couldn't even find the metal detector in the clubhouse - despair set in as mum was looking for me meeting her!! I pinned a note on the notice board to alert fellow archers to my plight and went off very low in mood....
I told Guy my story and armed with waterproofs, torches and a little metal detector we went to the range in the dark and wet miserable night!! I went into the clubhouse to get the other metal detector and to check if some kind sole had found my arrow and yep, you've guessed - there it was.
