The elbow might be a hard one to spot for someone else. Just pay attention, and if yuo feel like you were pulling down more with the string elbow when the arrow went high, then that could have been it. I also forgot to mention "heeling" the bow (base of palm hard into the grip), but I don't think I've seen that much height difference from heeling.

For some reason, I never did like those rests much. I think the reason was the spring wire left you with no center shot spring adjustment. If you don't want to spend the money on the elite, go with a plunger and stick on flipper rest. At least you will end up with adjustable spring tension, and a wire that will not interfere with the arrow. They make a magnetic break away flipper rest that should work great.......if the arrow comes in contact with it, it just moves out of the way. My daughters coach swears by them, but she likes her elite
