RE: Long rod setup

I've got... let me see... a Beiter long rod, with 3 end weights, a pair of Fomax twins (with asymmetrical weights) & a little Fomax top rod.
I couldn't tell the difference between the beiter twins & the fomax ones, so I bought the cheaper ones.
(I spend a good 1/2 day at Quicks trying everything they had & then bought what felt best. I'd suggest that you do the same - the matched set _would_ have been OK in my case, but the top rod felt good & that's not a beiter, so I'd have missed out if I'd gone for colour coordinated)
