| Birds Nesting Behind Target Faces We now have two targets out of bounds on a 28-target course because birds (wren and blue ***) have nested between the target face and the boss. The wren got one helluva fright before we found its nest about 4 inches to the right of the spot (where all the arrows were, it being a 35 metre target).
We paste face on corrugated card, but after rain the card expands and opens a gap between it and the foam boss. It dosn't take long for a nest to appear.
Other than getting more people shooting the course to keep the birds at bay and the targets tight to the boss, is there anything that can be done to prevent nesting? |
