Crap? You sum it up perfectly in the above statement.
Anything that has the potential to cause problems should be binned in my opinion. If you have to start drilling (and ruining) pieces of equipment rather than buying the correct one for the job then you open up, potentially, a whole world of trouble.
I certainly wouldn't use it. I'd either use the correct button for the rest or put the old rest back on. I certainly wouldn't start drilling it.
I find it hard to believe that when someone asks for opinions (remember this is a poll) and someone gives their opinion, it can be called crap!
