I contacted Ebay to ask them to investigate the seller's practices since I spotted that one or two people were actually bidding on some items (nothing as stupid as people sometimes...). It's common for someone to go onto Ebay, put up lots of "items for sale", grab the money (using a fake address) and run, or use it to sell stolen goods in this way. The police generally don't want get involved in these transactions (I've known people to get ripped off and the police refuse to act), but send them the phone number and details anyway - you never know.

I've also contacted GNAS to ask them if they will consider putting up a national database of stolen equipment. Reponse is they will consider it.
