RE: Strange Goings On In Leeds

Thankyou all for your excellent responses. Please be advised this is a longbow thing.. Those of you who attended the St. Georges' tournament in Morley last year will be pleased to know of it's continuing status.

Pictured are early attempts at a 'set' for next year's shoot-off where finalists will be required to shoot at a themed target through the arrow-slit of,er, a castle (it says here). Very few cardboard castles have survived from the Middle Ages due to siege armies carrying boxes of matches. The artefact pictured has been loaned to us by the Royal Armouries on the understanding we take it in when it rains.

The trolley is there to enable experimentation with a 'Jeux Sans Frontieres' approach where the cardboard castle will be moved backward and forwards by someone in a dragon outfit. No doubt Ely will play their joker.
