It also works on the rear just ahead of the nock if you're not using any kind of outserts or in-out nocks.
Just be sure that the glue or varnish is completely cured (at least 24 hours in a windy place) before re-attaching the nocks as superglue vapours and some solvents will attack and weaken the plastic nocks.
