Arrow numbering is a usefull tool when you are first group testing to find any strays in the pack. I wouldn't worry too much about shooting them in order as it's their position in the boss you are more interested in.

The only reason I can see for shooting them in order is if you are trying to keep any wear and tear on the arrows consistant through the whole dozen.
