In talking about arrow choice, people say choose a stiffer spine rather than a weaker spine. If arrow length is fixed, this means that given a choice we should be choosing a bigger diameter and/or thicker wall arrow. Comparing these is difficult (sometimes thicker wall, smaller diameter is stiffer sometimes weaker depending on the ratios) so to decide which arrow is stiffer, I understand that we should just be looking at the spine measurement. Is this right?

( ie in the examples quoted here for groups T1 & Y6, the following progression shows weaker to stiffer arrows:

X7 - 1612, 1614, 1712, 1714
75 - 1516, 1616, 1713 )
