First you have to decide what type of shaft you will be using eg. for target shooting (outdoors) Easton’s X10s and A/C/Es are the most popular. Then according to your draw weight and draw length you can use either the Easton charts or Shaft selector to find the right stiffness of your shaft. For selecting a stiffer shaft all you have to do is to move down the scale i.e. from 620 to 570. Personally I shout A/C/Es 620 whereas the charts indicate 670.
