It depends which number you have written down in your 'little book'. If the string always settles down afer sighters, then record the settled length. Expect the 'just strung height to be a few mm higher, and do the critical check after sighters against the recorded height. If it is different at that point, then restring and adjust to a couple of mm higher than the recorded value to allow for settling.
